A soldier from Dalhart is killed by enemy forces in Afghanistan.
The department of defense has confirmed 28-year-old Sergeant David Davis died Saturday from wounds suffered when forces attacked the Bagram Airport.
He was assigned to the 32nd Transportation Company, 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade and 4th Infantry Division out of Fort Carson, Colorado.
Davis' decorations include two Army Commendation Medals and the Army Achievement Medal.
