The ...I am uncertain of my opinions on this issue. The Libertarian, Free-Marketeer in me says "Every individual has the democratic right to screw up their lives if they choose to do so. Taking drugs is one of the best ways for a person to excercise that choice. All the drugs ban does is keep the price artificially high. For that reason is it not possible that the cartels are major, surrupticious, funders of the Keep Drugs Banned lobby?"

On the other hand, what can the uncontrolled sale of drugs do to a society? Perhaps an indication is the fact that all the nations near the Burmese "Golden Triangle" have the death penalty for the mere possesion of more than 15 grams of heroin or cocaine.African Moondognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38190982.post-26508223298375224252010-11-09T12:38:34.297-07:002010-11-09T12:38:34.297-07:00Hi Bob. Rather, I believe it will increase due to even more customers and profit to be had.Kirlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00549443997587031364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38190982.post-75070250082482751702010-11-08T12:38:50.549-07:002010-11-08T12:38:50.549-07:00"You potheads and supporters of legalizing po..."You potheads and supporters of legalizing pot share in the responsibility for all this bloodshed"

Yes the potheads make a market but I won't take responsibility for the carnage because I want it legal. It isn't legal and this is what we get.

It is the big profits that attract the crime. High risk, high demand equals high profit. Keeping it illegal insures this continue. High taxes on pot will just keep the black market working too.

I do like your blog keep up the good work Kirly.Big Bobnoreply@blogger.com
